Tamaroa in New York

After she was decommissioned, it appeared that the Tam had a comfortable retirement at the USS Intrepid Air & Space Museum. Alas, that wasn't meant to be. The Intrepid Museum transferred her to the Hudson River Trust who planned to make the Tam their floating headquarters. Due to the large amount of repairs that were required and other regulations that never came to pass either. The Tam basically sat rusting at a pier in New York for five years. Bill Doherty took these photos during that time period.
